What Is "Moving With The Beloved"
Dwelling within us is our Inner Companion, as close to us as our breath, that lives, moves & has its being expressed in and through us, the ONE Great Movement of All Life. Ancient mystics & poets describe the experience, of meeting & knowing the inner Presence of God within, as The Beloved. In my experience & many of the folks I have worked with, I have met that Presence in nature, meditation, prayer, AND…in movement.
“Moving with the Beloved” series, is gentle & subtle meditative work. No prior dance or movement experience is needed, offering exploration practices, the mover will find their own spontaneous movement, informed by inner experiences, supported by music, often with eyes closed, as we inquire into the beliefs held in the body, re-weaving our vast selves, also using affirmative prayer, into an Enlightened Body.
The work is a 4 part series influenced by Continuum, Authentic Movement & the 5 Rhythms Ecstatic Dance & Moving Meditation.
1st segment The Embryonic Body: In Continuum, we explore, we use breath, vibrational sound, micro movements, wavelike undulations, felt sense sensation, with support of a potent space energy field.
2nd segment The Dream Body: In Authentic Movement, we find this revealed & explored, by moving with consciousness, & the active imagination inspired by Jungian archetypes, dreams, symbols & poetic inspirations,
3rd segment The Emotional Body: In 5 Rhythms Ecstatic Dance, of feelings is explored, experiencing flowing, staccato, chaotic, lyrical and the stillness in finding one’s own movement into ecstasy.
4th segment The Enlightened Body: Is the final silent retreat into all of the above practices inviting the experience of a meditative illumination.
This work is soft, gentle, nourishing, where no experience is necessary, only the desire to know God, Goddess, Spirit, Source
in your body!
If you are ready to MOVE into the New Year, Join me for a direct embodied experience of this Living Intelligence through the practices I will offer in this meditative movement work I call “Moving with the Beloved", where we will be allowing this field of Grace to MOVE us…
